It's time for all the pink!! That is what I used to think every October 1st when all the breast cancer ads started appearing. This year is way more than pink for me! It was one year ago today, October 1, 2019, that I had to walk into a hair salon and ask them to shave my head because so much hair was falling out from chemo. I'm very blessed to say that after surgery, 5 months of chemotherapy and 20 radiation treatments that I am doing very well but I pray for a day where no one has to endure this scary journey of battling cancer.
Ladies, also please remember to get your mammogram-it could save your life! Breast cancer does not discriminate. I was 43 years old when diagnosed.
