A breast cancer survivor is anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, no matter where they are in their care or recovery process.  Survivors are encouraged to register for the Race for the Cure because they are a testimony of how far we have come in the fight against breast cancer.  The presence of survivors at the Race is an encouragement to those who are newly diagnosed and to those with family members and friends of those facing this horrible disease.

Breast cancer survivors who register for the Race for the Cure will receive a Race t-shirt and a pink Surivivor t-shirt and pink Race bib (be sure to choose the option that you would like to be recognized as a breast cancer survivor when you register).  Look for the Survivor Tent on Race Day to find a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the entertainment and refreshments.  Survivors only are allowed in the Survivor Tent, so be sure to wear your Survivor t-shirt on Race Day!  Also, don't miss the Survivor Photo that will be taken on the steps of the Trustmark Bank (northwest corner of Fairpark) at 7 a.m.!  You will receive a complimentary copy of the photo provided by Walgreens at the Survivor Tent.
